LION HABITAT:
MGM Grand has created an unprecedented opportunity for the public to observe and experience the majestic King of Beasts close up and in person at the resort's Lion Habitat. At the same time, the resort has formed an alliance with the world's foremost institutional leader in lion research to support his activities and to share his knowledge on a scale not previously feasible.

MGM Grand's Lion Habitat was opened in July of 1999 and has proven to be one of Las Vegas' most popular experiences, drawing more than 12,000 visitors a day. Admission is free and hours of operation are 11 AM to 11 PM daily.

Situated inside the resort's Strip entrance off Las Vegas Boulevard adjacent to its entertainment dome, the Habitat is a 5,000 square foot showcase of lofty simulated jungle complete with waterfalls, enclosed in 240 degrees of floor-to-ceiling protective glass that enables the public to view a variety of lions at play and leisure. Handlers utilize only voice and hand signals to direct the lion's movement. Members of the family of lions appear in sequence for periods of no more than six hours at a time before returning to their spacious, permanent homes on an 8 1/2-acre ranch outside of Las Vegas. Guests can see the lions literally inches away and can stand beneath or above them in a see-through passageway that bisects the Habitat. They also are free to photograph the lions at will.

HOLLYWOOD THEATRE:

An intimate 740-seat theatre features legendary headline entertainers nightly.

GRAND GARDEN ARENA:

The Las Vegas entertainment scene changed forever when the MGM Grand introduced the Grand Garden Arena, a 17,157-seat special events center, home of mega concerts, championship boxing and premier sporting and special events. Barbra Streisand, during her first concert in more than 20 years, opened the Grand Garden Arena on Dec. 31, 1993 in conjunction with the grand opening of the MGM Grand.

La Femme Las Vegas

LA FEMME

"La Femme" is a first for America and Las Vegas, a show direct from one of the hottest nightspots in the world, the original Crazy Horse in Paris, famous for its productions celebrating beautiful women and the art of the nude since 1951.

"La Femme" uses a combination of light effects, film, and projections to create dramatic effects: some subtle, some humorous and all sensual.

All 12 of the international collection of dancers are members of the original Crazy Horse dance troupe. La Femme dancers are trained in ballet and perfectly integrate into sensuous choreography as their bodies are bathed in colored and textured lighting designs.

For more than 50 years this French cultural phenomenon has drawn international and U.S. celebrities such as Madonna, Warren Beatty, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Sting, and Elvis Presley.
